Powering CET’s Next-Generation AI Learning Platform
CET (The Center for Educational Technology) is building the next generation of AI-native learning platforms. We are looking for a Team Lead to spearhead the development of our core agentic services. You will guide a high-performing team in building mission-critical backend services and designing multi-agent architectures- primarily utilizing LangGraph with Python- to support CET’s innovation for the next decade.
What You’ll Do: Lead & Innovate
- Lead & Mentor: Manage a team of skilled backend engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Architect Agentic Services: Act as the technical authority for our agentic service layer, utilizing LangGraph with Python (or similar frameworks) to design robust, stateful multi-agent systems.
- Bridge the Stack: Oversee the integration of modern Python-based AI services with our existing .NET Core ecosystem.
- Drive Execution: Work with Product Managers to translate vision into technical roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both non-technical stakeholders and experienced senior engineers.
- Hands-on Development: Remain “in the code” by developing core architectural components and optimizing LLM-driven workflows.

- Leadership Experience: 2+ years leading a technical team with a proven track record of mentoring senior developers and driving project delivery.
- Expert Python: Deep proficiency in Python for production-grade backend services.
- AI Foundations: Strong experience building LLM-driven applications or workflows.
- System Design: Expert knowledge of microservices and RESTful API design.
- Data Expertise: Solid understanding of database design (SQL/NoSQL) and experience with RAG and Vector Databases.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate high-level stakeholder requirements while maintaining technical rigor.
Great-to-Have Advantages:
- Frameworks: Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain or similar frameworks.
- Advanced Systems: Familiarity with distributed systems and handling high-traffic nationwide architectures.
- Interoperability: Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol).
